I am a long time TH reader. (first post)

I realize this is a controversial topic but here goes:

What is the best card/ CPU combo for Game Design.

I use Unity3D and Unreal.

I use Maya 2014 for modelling and animation.

I use Photoshop CS5 for imaging

MentalRay for rendering (rendering is not a priority for Game design but is also a hobby)

I realize that Quadro/ Geforce / Tesla cards are essentially the same hardware with small tweaks and driver optimizations to appeal to their respective target market (I'm OK with that and don't see it as an evil scheme by Nvidia to trick consumers)

Solution
GTX 780Ti > K6000 > GTX Titan > GTX 780 >> GTX 770/680 > K5000 > GTX 670 > GTX 760 >> GTX 660 >> K4000

Graphic cards from the fastest to the slowes for your purposes

CPUs

i7-3930K i7-4930K i7-5820K i7-5930K

i7-5820K i7-5930K support DDR4 so you might look into those more, they all have 6 cores which is essential

5930K best pick (if no money is not the prob)
i7-5960X better if you do extreme multi threaded stuff (5930K has better single thread performance)

Admirable
