Hey everyone!

So I've built this rig only a few weeks ago, so far so good, haven't had any major problems so far. A few days ago I had a random BSOD while I was just watching a youtube video and chatting on skype. While I'm not too worried about this, it would still be nice to know what caused this.

Here's the log from WhoCrashed, let me know if I should post any other logs, Thanks in advance!

Crash dump directory: C:\Windows\Minidump

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

On Mon 01/09/2014 8:41:41 PM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\090114-6895-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: win32k.sys (win32k+0xC4283)
Bugcheck code: 0x3B (0xC0000005, 0xFFFFF960001A4283, 0xFFFFF88009136020, 0x0)

Bug check description: This indicates that an exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system that cannot be identified at this time.

Conclusion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. No offending third party drivers have been found. Connsider using WhoCrashed Professional which offers more detailed analysis using symbol resolution. Also configuring your system to produce a full memory dump may help you.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

Solution
ya, I also seen that avg combined with the Skype and chrome here at toms it just found its funny that issues like these them 3 things are in play

I don't use any of them myself but it is in a lot of the threads I look at on this
this guy has near the same thing with that win32k sys error --

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2285388/blue-screen-death.html

but in your case I would look at the memory use when these programs are used stated in your thread

I have sen where they may hog memory and will not release it if another program or the system needed to access the memory and causes the bsod

Skype and google chrome can be a big resource hog

Hmm, I don't think that's the problem. Physical memory usage on both chrome and skype combined is about 5 to 7%. However, I did see that in that user's post that his problem was not having the latest OS service packs, and that might be my problem, as I'm pretty sure I don't have the latest. I'll install the latest an see if the problem persists, thanks!

All right, so I've downloaded the latest service packs and reseated my ram. Also have uninstalled AVG as I've heard it can be a cause of BSOD and installed microsoft security essentials. Will come back if the problem presists.

Thanks guy!
