Hello all & greetings from the UK, i would just like to start off by saying i have a little problem, that seems to be bothering me..

in the image i have attached you can see inside the red ring, that between the contacts of what i presume to be a capacitor it has changed the board's colour, i have sinced wiped this with a cotton bud and it seems to have went away a little, but it still remains if you see it in the light,
on closer inspection it looks like it has tainted the PCB boards colours around the contacts in question!!

i have just bought this card from someone & i have noticed since i took it out the box..

can you guys shed a little light on the situation please as this to looks not right at all..

P.S when i play my games it runs fine, i have also stress tested the card with furmark and it seems to be fine but i still have my doubts!

any help would be grateful.

Regards Bradeigh :D

whats the best thing to test it with as in benchmarks & the board has discoloured though that's the problem i see, not like the other ones, the same colour an no change in anything under the other capacitors

Test it along this. And the color doesn't matter so don't worry.

Looks like sloppy soldering. Perhaps a hand rework after a machine solder?

You will not find that, the machines use Sweep Soldering, this melts all solder in a sweep across the board, too much solder might have been applied but it will not affect anything.

Wave soldering machines can miss something sometimes. Hence why they sometimes have to have a few joints reworked by hand

Possibly, still will be fine overall
