I have had windows 8.1 since July this year since I bought a laptop which already had it on. however, the videos that I tried to play on any app or web browser seemed to play with a green screen.
I looked on google for ways to fix the problem and they worked but then the videos suddenly played with a green screen again and I have tried to do what I did the last time but it wont work.

I have tried everything and absolutely nothing is working.
someone please help!!!!

You mean, the screens have a green tint to them, or are they solid green with nothing visible at all?

"Green tints" are usually an indicator of a video-cable fault - ie, not plugged in properly. On a laptop, this might occur due to a drop or when I've peeled open the case, accidentally jiggled the keyboard which then slightly loosens the video-ribbon-cable. On desktops, the Green Tint is invariably is a loose cable on the back of the monitor. Power down, unplug, replug and secure it.

I suspect the laptop's suffering from a loose video connection as well. This might be at the display end OR it might be under the keyboard (at the motherboard end of that video cable).

So, my vote is "hardware."
