I'm considering relocating my personal folders, because of limited space on the main drive. However, in doing so I have the option to move all the files located in Documents. In Documents, I have tons of savefiles and configuration files for games and the like, what will happen to them if I move the Documents folder? Will the save path for those games and programs be broken, or do they follow a specific handle that redirects them to wherever Documents might be located?

EDIT: I also don't want to just add another location to Libraries. I tried doing that, and the whole solution to that was just annoying.

The only affects is that file can not be found, then you have to point to the new location.

I'm a bit apprehensive to give it a try, I've messed up installations before by just trying stuff and see what happens.

When you right click, properties, location and change it from there, windows creates a symbolic link. It's essentially a redirect so nothing gets broken.
