You'll need a new motherboard and CPU unless you can find a decent LGA 1156 motherboard on ebay or something.

It's a laptop so you can't change mobo either.

A core 2 mobo chipset can run a 1st gen i5 just because you changed the socket(which is impossible even with that equipment)? Let's get back to reality.

however, it is not just replacing, we have to remember that there are connections here. so even if it is doable, i don't think it will work
