Hi guys!
i bought an FX-8320 with a new MOBO and a Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 cooler.
A the title says the cpu is quiet hot. at idle i get 46 degrees. and when running the temperature rises up to 73 Degrees celsius. I my new CPU cooler isnt the best but im pretty sure i shouldnt have these temperatures... Please help me!!

Solution
Once you get thermal paste you could try installing the stock cooler. If it runs cooler with that then you know that the aftermarket cooler was faulty/not installed correctly, otherwise it could also be a BIOS issue.

Those temperatures are definitely too hot. You really don't want to break ~60-65 with that CPU. The cooler isn't great but it should perform better than the stock cooler at least.

I assume your CPU isn't overclocked, right?

Try reapplying thermal paste and reseating the cooler.

If you didn't already when you first installed it, reset the new mobo's CMOS to defaults. There should be a jumper on it (probably near the battery) for that purpose. While shut down, turn off or unplug the PSU, wait 20-30 seconds, then move the jumper to the reset position for a few seconds. Return it to the normal position, then power up again.
When you remove the cooler to clean off and re-apply paste, look to see if it spread properly. If not, check how it is mounted to make sure it is correct. If you applied your own paste in the first place (rather than a pre-applied patch), make to use only enough for the job; too much is as bad as not enough.

The paste was pre applied so the only thing i did was to screw the cooler onto the motherboard... tha cpu fan is running at 2400 rp. The thing i notised when i put the cooler on was that it doesnt cover the hole cpu... what i mean is that the rektangel of the cooler is smaller than the cpu.

According to the specs, it SHOULD be OK. It is rated for 150W and socket AM3+ . Is the fan blowing from the front of the case to the back of the case? Is there an exhaust fan pulling hot air out of the case behind the heatsink/fan (above the motherboard ports)?
