Faulty Power Supply?

Hey guys,
Following up on my previous post as i have received no answers and think i have figured out the issue;
Recently every 2 or 3 times i go to turn on my PC nothing happens, no fans spinning, no lights, no BIOS screen, nothing; to fix this, i have to turn off and unplug the PSU, press the power button to discharge the capacitors in the PSU, and plug it back in. After doing this, the system works as intended, as if nothing was wrong with it in the first place. The system performs flawlessly when running too.
So as discharging the capacitors by pressing the power button when off seemingly fixes the issue, do you guys think that my PSU is faulty? I want to know for definite before considering sending it off to EVGA.
Here are my system specs if you need them: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/2b4D4D

Thanks for the help!
Dan

I'm very much doubting the PSU here, that is a highly rated unit made by SuperFlower and ,although not unheard of, I'd doubt it would act like the problems you're describing. I'd be more inclined to think a weak VRM combined with a powerful CPU are what's playing havoc here - any overclocks?

It is a solid PSU, but still sounds like it ? possibly a bad build or loose connectors.

I built it back in May and it's been fine up until a couple of weeks ago, this just randomly started happening, i did briefly check the connections after this began, however i didnt unplug and reinsert the cables. Do you think that would be the next step?

Okay I have reset the BIOS to default, I don't think i had changed anything but did it anyway to be sure; no overclocks were present and now the only thing different to the defaults is that I have enabled MSI Fast Boot.
If i continue to encounter the issue I'll report back

It could and has me thinking a BIOS update may be the ticket here... See how your system does, if you have more issues, try a BIOS update to see how it affects your system's stability

I have tried reflashing the BIOS although this made no difference, plus i just had another WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. They seem to occur infrequently and don't seem to correlate to anything i am doing on the PC. The sometimes not powering on is still present too. Also something i noticed earlier although i don't know if it's relevant, my displayport monitor went blank for a couple of seconds and then back to normal, again as if nothing was wrong. Does this make it any more likely that the PSU is at fault?
