Hi there, i have a few questions about my laptop since i have trouble deciding what to do.

My laptop specs:
Asus X5MS (N53SM)
Proc: i7 2670QM
Ram: 4gb DDR3 1333 4G (expansion up to 16gb 4 sockets)
Graphics: Nvidia 630m 2gb DDR3
Windows 7 64-bit

I use it for gaming the most and it works fine when its gaming alone, but when i start multi-tasking or use some other programs as well, thats when it start taking its time and i thought upgrading my memory from 4gb to 8gb would help a little.

So my questions which im not sure about would be:
Would adding more ram increase my laptop speed, if yes do i buy new 4x2 or just buy and add 4 more to my curent rams, and which ones is best for gaming?

Solution
Most modern laptops will support 1600 MHz, they just come with 1333 because it's cheaper. The Crucial memory upgrade site, which is usually very reliable, indicates that 1600 is a viable upgrade for your model. If you look at the installed DRAM and google the part number, I'm pretty sure it will show CAS 10 or 11, but I could be wrong.
If you want to speed things up, I would buy a set of 1600MHz, low latency (CAS), sticks, either 2 x 4GB or 4 x 4GB. Your cheapest option would be to add in a 4GB stick, but you'll want to match the specs of your current stick to minimize the chance of them not working together.
