Hi was wondering if it would be possible to overclock my AMD A8 6600k APU just to make the system run faster and also my games. I currently have a XF 7850 graphics card just wanted to get some ideas from anyone willing to help. Is there any way of improving the graphic quality in games I currently and playing COD 4. is there any games i should buy that will really put my graphic card to the test.

Thanks

You want to overclock the CPU? It is possible and it will help but probably not as much as you think it would. You can try to overclock the graphics card too. Just make sure your PSU will be enough to handle the overclocking power requirements.

You should at least get a FX processor instead of an APU especially since you have a HD 7850 card since it does not make sense to get an APU along with a dedicated graphics card unless you plan on crossfiring them though you would need a lower end graphics card to do that.

COD 4? You mean Modern Warfare 1? That game is a bit old and you shouldn't have any trouble running it. You could try the Battlefield or Crysis series to test your computer or just do some benchmarks if you just want to test...
