My temperature gets really high, and I have to replace my thermal paste. i got this laptop in 2011 or 2012 and have never replaced the thermal paste.

So I need help with this.
1. Do I need new heatsink?
2. What is the best Thermal Paste?
3. Do I need something more then just a thermal paste?
4. every thermal paste, or the things that is connected on the GPU/CPU is damaged, so I need new.

Can you please send me link for everything I need?

Solution
90+$ isoprophyl alcohol is most common

I use this.....

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/13256/thr-106/Indigo_Xtreme_Clean_Non-Conductive_Thermal_Surface_Cleaner_-_30mL_XC-01.html

I have done about 6 or 7 CPU cooler remounts and maybe a 8 - 9 water blocks with the bottle and it's still 2/3 fill.

The alcohol can be had in any pharmacy for about $2.50

This should help .... of course if you don't have thermal pads, don't add them .... it's for a water block and a desktop card but same principals apply.

If there were thermal pads, replace them with appropriate thickness pads. Can buy them on frozencpu site. And yes, apply paste to the pads.....if doing more than CPU or GPU ...
Most custom laptop builders use IC Diamond

I use Shin Etsu:

-It tied for 1st place in BMRs 80-way paste shootout.
-It's not capacitive (Artic Silver is)
-It doesn't take 7 weeks to cure (30 hrs per week assumed usage)
-It's way cheap

No you don't need a new heat sink
Your warranty will be voided when you open the lappie

But don't I need something more then just a thermal paste?
What do I clean it with?
And also, I cannot put thermal paste on my GPU, besides in the middle. What do I use on the rest of the GPU?
I'm not sure how to explain this, but the small black squares that is on the GPU?
