I have a Dell Optiplex 780, currently with an AMD Radeon 3450 inside, however, I would like to upgrade the graphics card to a Nvidia GeForce 610.
The new card would be PCIe, as I think the old one is, but am I able to just swap one card out with the other, or is that not as simple, with one being AMD and one being NVidia?

Thank you very much
Jon

AMD to Nvidia is not a problem. if you are sure both cards are PCI express then there shouldn't be a problem. when you get the new card I would recommend going into the control panel and bring up installed programs, then find the drivers for your current card and un-install them. then power down and remove your card and install the new one, then once you power back up you can install the new drivers.
