Ok i have a home build system using AMD FX 6300 built it last year may 2013 now recently i have played battlefield 3 with no issues and now the game feels laggy and i have try different servers
i play on a user account not as administrator is it the game or should i build a Intel box which is more expesive,i was going to build a AMD FX 8350 with all new hardware i have around $1600 to play with for a new system(recently i ahd to do a reformat of my hard drive to fix this issue no better results) and it was overclocked before i did a reformat of harddrive any hint as to why this may be happening or is the system getting old
thanks for any sugguestions

You will need to tell us your complete spec list for your machine, it's hard to tell where performance is being hindered when we only know the CPU.

Without doubt, if you want to buy the best gaming systems available today you'd buy one of the subtop i7 processors. In general; the difference between AMD and Intel could be subscribed like this these days:

AMD APU's with built- in graphics (A6, A8, A10 series on the FM2+ socket): the best buy for entry-level PC's and some light gaming. Because of the relatively good GPU they deliver more value for money than Intel because you get better graphics for roughly the same money. The most high-end A10 processors could do some average mid-range gaming.

AMD CPU's without built-in graphics (FX series on AM2+ socket): offer good value for money in the midrange and sub-highrange gaming machines. Usually somewhat cheaper than Intel, they offer good value for money and are optimized to work well with the absolute high end Radeon GPU's (R9 series).

Intel: offers stability in the mid-range and is works well with both Radeon R9 GPU's and Nvidia, though Nvidia has chipset optimizations on some Intel mainboards. For high-end gaming or otherwise heavy usage, the Intel i5 and i7 series are an absolute must. AMD simply can't get at that level with their CPU's.

So, roughly, in general I'd go for AMD in the low-range and mid-range segments, and Intel without doubt for serious gaming.

i think it maybe the video card going out i have set to medium settings for battlefield 3 and still feels choppy hard to play as before it was playing great
so i think when i get my extra cash will either build a new AMD FX8350 8 core system or and or replace the video card also looked in case video card felt hot so maybe its days are numbered.?it was brand new back in may2013 and i never turn my system off like to watch star trek helps me sleep so it runs 24/7 of course i disconnect from internet for security reasons.
