Hiya guys!

I will get straight to the point. Building my friend a gaming pc. Here is the spec

Asus maximum formula vi
i7 4770k
32gb vengeance ram
Asus Nvidia 780
500gb Samsung Evo SSD
3TB Seagate Barracuda
1000w Be quiet PSU
Case: Corsair 760T White

For some reason after building the pc it would not turn on with the pc case button so i tried with the motherboard and poof it boots fine. I have checked the cables from the case to the motherboard and they are in the right ports. Any ideas why the pc isn't booting with the pc case power button?

This means you probably plugged your "power switch" cable into the wrong spot on the motherboard.

Either they are not plugged into the correct spots of you have a busted button.

I will look again but I am using the adapter which came with the board so you cannot plug it in the wrong spot

I would open up the manual which came with the motherboard and plug each connector in manually to avoid any issues. It's possible that the small adapter which is supposed to assist you is causing issues from poor connection.

You could still have the polarities reversed, etc?

I will give it a go tomorrow when I get home from work thank you guys! If none of this works. Are we presuming I send the case back to Ebuyer for warranty replacement?

Hi guys! Thought I would give it another go with the PC. I have found out if I plug the Reset cable in the Power port on the motherboard it will turn on!!! But when all the cables are in the right place, the power button does not work. Looks like I am gonna have to send the case back :/

Really annoying because I have it all cabled tied!

If everything works I wouldn't worry about it... It's not like the wires are intelligent or digital... They are just inanimate strands of copper and if the connections work I would leave it.
