Upgraded from XP computer to Windows 7. Had installed programs on "D" drive, & moved drive to new Win7. Re-installed programs on Win7. Trying to clean up old XP & remove listing of programs that were on "D" drive

Solution
Install "Ccleaner": http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Open Ccleaner.
Click "Tools"
Default tool is the uninstall list editor.
Highlight an entry you want to remove.
Click "Delete".

Be careful to ensure you delete redundant entries only.
