I have been trying ever since i got my 16GB ram set (2x 8GB) to work with both in my motherboard, i thought it may have been an issue with the memory frequency, but after solving the missread frequency issue, it still will not accept the second stick. I have the latest BIOS for my motherboard. I have Corsair Vengance CMZ16X3M2A1866C10. It is an accepted RAM so i dont understand, any help would be apprieciated

I had an issue like this when building a family members pc, turned out it was a faulty RAM stick. If you have RAM laying about, give that a go and see if it works. Then you will know if it is the RAM.

I have tried the other RAM stick and it works fine, the computer boots as it normally does, so would this mean that the RAM slots on my board are faulty? ps. I can't use the RAM slot closest to the CPU because of the CPU cooler I have, would this be a problem?

1. I would try inserting one RAM stick in the 2nd slot. If it boots fine then the problem is with the RAM sticks.

Even if the RAM's have same model number and same frequency they are not guaranteed to work together.

They came as a air so a total of 16GB, which is a compatible model of RAM, I have tried both sticks individually and both work fine
