I built my pc about.... 9 months ago give or take, its pretty high end, but when comparing to others, it always got out preformed by others (majorly) his is expected with most PCs if the comparison has different parts that are better, but... compared to my friends I have a similar setup minus my gpu. They have a 780 (not sure of the brand) and I have a r9 280x. I'm aware this card is a bit weaker then there's (at least I think so) but the issue im having seems to rely more on the cpu.
I have a 4771 oc at 3.9gh and they have a 4770. So they are very similar from my understanding. Their PC runs SO much better when it comes to live streaming or recording video games like minecraft or civ 5 (we both use dxtory) my entire computer just tanks shooting me down to 20fps when playing at fps60-120 normally.
Now that story is out of the way, is my hardware not compatible in some jaw dropping way? Or is there some other reason?

1000watt power supply (over kill I know)

last thing, I'm thinking about getting a new gpu because one of the fans in my current one died so its sitting at a constant 50+C so should I get a 780ti because I also edit videos and such? or r9 290x because well... its cheaper and has quiet a bit of power for the price

watch dogs... hits my gpu hard, but thats because of what nividia did with amd cards, and one of my fans being broken (thus requiring a new gpu)
I'm more worried about the huge fps drop when trying to record minecraft honestly, i mean.... its freaking minecraft, that should run butter smooth

and I accidentally made your post a solution, whoops
