I have a Foxconn motherboard I'm not sure what modle or number it is but it currently had ddr2 ram in it and I was wondering if it's possible to use ddr3

No, DDR3 is keyed differently than DDR2. A motherboard can't support both.

You need to find the mobo make and model. Try using HWInfo.

Some mobos take both.

As I7baby said we need the model number because there were some boards that could use both but of course not at the same time.

look on your motherboard by the RAM and CPU.the model and number should be there.
