Hello,
I am currently building a PC for a friend of mine, probem is that I'm no PSU expert.
At the moment these are the Specs:
CPU: I5 3330
GPU: Sapphire R9 285 (At least 500w recommended)
RAM: 6gb DDR3(I know that 6gb of RAM is like worshipping satan but he had it lying around)
HDD: 500GB
PSU:XFX 550W Core Edition

My question is: Is the PSU enough to power up the GPU and the whole system? He was also interested in doing some overclocking in the future.

Thanks for the help!

That one is fine. No issues. I'm powering my 280 which uses more power with a 450W unit.

When you say overclocking you are talking about the GPU right? That CPU won't overclock.

You could get a cheaper H77 motherboard for that CPU
