I really did not want to make a thread about this, but I've been trying to figure this out for 4 hours now. Forgive me if this isn't the proper board to ask about this. I Think this is more of a windows 8 problem than it is a headset problem.

I'm going to give you a rundown:
Basically I have a pair of Razer Kraken Pro's that I have had since April of this year. It has been working properly this entire time, until yesterday when I was trying to use teamspeak with some friends and realized my mic isn't working at all. I went into the recording device properties and it shows up just fine, but it's not displaying any sounds from the mic whatsoever. However, the regular audio for it works perfectly as it always did.

As you can see from that picture, it is silent. I've been into the properties, and still no luck. Everything is at normal, nothing is muted. When I go to the levels, it is at 97.

I've read 4 hours worth of forum postings and none of them helped me. I've already tried the following:
-Making sure the mic isn't muted
-Trying it out on another PC (It worked perfectly fine)
-Reinstalling the drivers
-Opening up the PC and making sure everything is connected
-Restarting
-Restoring Windows to a week earlier
-Moving the cables to the back of my computer
-Updating the drivers with device manager (All of them were up-to-date)
-Changing the settings in Razer Synapse
-testing it with out the splitters on my Phone (still worked)
-Making sure it's the right colors (pink to pink, green to green)
-Updating windows to the latest version
And the list goes on and on...

I've checked other places for people having the exact same problem and I did get results, the only problem was that no one answered them. It's extremely frustrating as you might imagine. I just hope I can get this fixed, I don't want to be using text chat all my life haha.

If you want any screencaps or anything, just ask. I'll provide anything, I just want to get this annoying thing fixed.

It's possible that the microphone input has failed. You may need to purchase a separate microphone. The microphone on my headset failed a while ago, I replaced it with a cheap $10 one which I used for a while before switching to the much nicer one built into in my Logitech webcam.

By microphone input do you mean the cable or the mic itself? I don't think it's either since I tried it on my laptop and phone and it worked normally. So, I don't think that would be the cause then.
