I am pretty bad at picking these things, computer cost quite a bit and the graphics card is poor, how would i check the PSU?

If it is mounted so the nameplate is visible, look for the manufacturer's name and the model number. If you are familiar with electrical ratings, check for the one listing the +12V circuit or circuits. It should list the amps (A).
Is this a pre-built PC? If so, what brand?

Advent DT2412, however it does not show any PSU information on the sticker at the front.

It probably is a low end, low wattage OEM PSU. There are some issues too with gfx cards not working correctly with certain OEM manufacturer's PCs. If you want to take a chance, try the R7-250 or GT 740. Those should be safe with any low end PSU. But you may want to browse around the forum for those PCs and see what the other users are experiencing.
