SPECS:
I just invested in a new hard drive, Seagate barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB HDD
old card drive: Seagate Barracuda 750 GB HDD
I have AMD Anthlon ll X2 235e Dual core processor
6GB DDR2 memory
(I'm sure this changed due to change in hard drive)
Some Power Specfics :
INPUT: 100 -127v ~/7A 60Hz; 220-240v ~ / 3.5A, 50 Hz
OUTPUT: =12v1 /10A _ 3.3v/20A _ 5v /16A _ 12v2/12A _ 5vsb / 2A _ -12v/0.5A
Max:300 watts

When trying to boot my computer when fist installing the Hard drive, It informed me nothing was on the hard drive, soon giving me a option to recover, then it started to and it informed me of a disk write error, and gave me the option to continue.
I then got a blank screen with a blinking cursor.
I turned off my computer uninstalled the hard drive, put in the old one and the old one still SUCKS (surprise there)
I then put in the new one restarted my computer and i am still receiving a blinking cursor.
I was told you cant boot E-machine without a recovery disk.
I was also told nothing is on the hard drive to boot.
I'm considering removing my CMOS.
Is there anything i can do to fix this?
Is my hard drive DOA?

Solution
If the old hard drive has failed completely, then you will need to either find or order a new repair disc from EMachines. If that is not an option, then you will need to purchase a new Windows license/Operating System disc and use that to install Windows from scratch onto the new hard drive.

"If you need to re install windows, which it sounds like you do..you need to change the boot priority in the bios to your disc drive. Since you are installing windows on a new HDD you will need to have your disc drive as the boot priority. That way when your computer boots up, it runs off of the optical drive and not the HDD (which is blank). Have you tried pushing spacebar on the white underscore screen?"

I read this solution, and I don't have Microsoft installed on the drive btw. How would I do this, how would I make this a priority?

Your operating system (Windows?) is installed on the old hard drive. If you remove that, there is nothing for your computer to read from. If you must swap your hard drives, you will need to install your operating system and all of your programs from fresh. If you can have both drives physically installed at the same time (you may need to borrow the power and SATA cable from your optical drive), then you can boot into your old hard drive and then clone that over to your new hard drive. Once that is complete, remove the old hard drive from the computer and, if necessary, move the power and SATA cables from the old drive back to the optical drive.

My Old Hard Drive is COMPLETELY DEAD. wont boot at all, all i get is "S.M.A.R.T drive is BAD", that's why i had to get a new hard drive. I don't have another ATA cable for another hard drive but i do have an addition PB output cord that is connected to the PA output cord.( excuse me if I sound like an idiot) .
