wrong GB size shown

Installed a 1 TB drive to replace older 300 GB but first backed up to 2nd drive and made a repair disc (Mirror Image). Installed it on new 1 TB but in computer it stills shows old size.Win/7-64 is OS and all my files are fine. How can I change the size to reflect new drive size, there are no partitions as I have other backups. Would hate to overwrite a new drive. Used W7 backup and restore.

you forgot to re-size the partition when applying the image. Redo it with the partition expanded to the actual space of the new drive.

I had use this before http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm
but always, when you do anything with partition, make sure you backup your data.

So basically all I need to do is create another disc with correct size and reinstall

I use EASus ToDo backup Free... It has a cloning tool. You can re-size the target partition,
