Hey guys,

So I'm having a little bit of an issue here. Allow me to explain. So I built a PC with the following specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660
& a Radeon r9 270X (ill get to this later)
PSU: Coolermaster V650 80+ gold
RAM: G.Skill RIpjawsX (2x4)
MOBO: Gigabyte 970a-D3P

Now, I had a problem when I first put my computer together using the 660. Everything powered on, but nothing was showing up onto my monitor. I double checked my connections, double checked my RAM was in the right slots, but still nothing. So i thought maybe it had something to do with my monitor (because its older). I tried three different cables (DVI, HDMI, and VGA) and nothing worked. The monitor powered on, but said there was no signal (yes, I made sure I was on the right source). So again, I thought maybe my monitor isn't compatible with my GPU so I tried it on my TV. My TV is newer, a Samsung 55" 3D smart TV to get specific. On my TV I tried VGA and HDMI, but still nothing. I called ASUS (the maker of my 660) and they said something must be wrong with my GPU and I should exchange it to NewEgg, so I did. And this whole RMA process has been hell, so today I decided that I would call them and tell them to change my RMA from a replacement to a return. After that was taken care of I went and bought my 270X from my local Best Buy. I came home and installed it... same issue. I tried it on my monitor and TV and still nothing. The fans power on, and so does everything else. After this I looked into it and found someone who had a similar problem with the same motherboard and similar GPU's (he also bought 2 different GPU's) Do you guys have any ideas/think it is the motherboard?

Do you have the CPU power cable plugged into the motherboard? That could be a valid reason for this.

Have you tried with no dives hooked up, only a single stick of DRAM? Is the rig in the case - is so may be a short, might want to bench it, have a guide here that may help:

everything checks okay. I tried all of the RAM slots with each stick of RAM and still nothing

Well you should have a 990fx mobo for the fx8350 anyway. Try http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

If it is the motherboard, which I think it is, I am going to upgrade to a Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0
