Well you've successfully brought up the whole Nvidia vs AMD debate.
So I can assure you that your responses will be one of the two: Nvidia, and AMD.
That means you either will choose from the Nvidia's 760, or the AMD's 270x. There is a spec differences, but it's not enough to heavily differentiate the two. You might want to choose the AMD 270x because it's cheaper by about $60+ and it's roughly the same performance. Nvidia and AMD are one and the same, you can go one way or another. I have an Nvidia GTX 770, but in this case I would recommend the AMD. It will be cheaper, it will be roughly the same performance regardless of what people say, and your CPU is AMD so you may as well stick with the brand.
I mean it when I say that the difference isn't much. With Graphics Cards it's all about brand loyalty, and anyone will say anything to support their favourite brand. Not enough of a difference to knock yourself up about. Go for the AMD because it's cheaper, it's not as different, and it will fit with your current parts.
AMD 270x - $190
Nvidia GTX 760 - $260

You can actually find a R9 270x for around 160 dollars if you look and that is a pretty decent card and a decent price. Not as fast as the GTX 760 but definitely great performance per dollar. Since you will be cracking passwords and not gaming, I can imagine probably an AMD card is more suited for your purposes since I know that AMD cards have powerful computing since many bought them for cryptocoin mining.

You can probably get a R9 280 for around 190 dollars after rebate if you want that instead.

No programs for cracking passwords as of right now works well with cuda as well as amd and their stream processors, so I was looking more at amd.
