crossfire stopped working

Hi, i recently purchased a second gpu to crossfire with my first one. my original is an xfx 7970 and the new one is an msi 7970. the crossfire was perfectly stable for a few days and now the computer will not turn on less the power and the crossfire bridge is disconnected from the msi 7970. this happened after the computer froze for some reason and i shut it down several minutes later.

Most likely the PSU is dying. Too much demand on it with two graphics cards. Two 7970 cards need at least a 750w PSU, 850w really to leave some headroom. And it needs to be reliable brand like Seasonic, Corsair or Antec.

well this build is less than a year old and i have a coolermaster 850 psu, which should be up to the task

since posting this i have tried the card in several friends computers and they all had the same result, so response when power is pushed. i am sending the card back to msi because there is nothing i can find on this problem
