Back at Christmas I received a BENQ RL2455HM to hook to my laptop, I feel in love with it. This past weekend I purchased PC parts and built my own desktop PC, with this order I got another BENQ RL2455HM so that I could still have my 2 displays. I have noticed that on the new monitor the colors look more crisp, on the second on blacks tend to look more grey. The new monitor is hooked to my PC via DVI and the old on is hooked up through HDMI. I know its not my PC or my graphics card causing the problem because when I cut off my PC and both monitors go to a black screen saying, "No signal connected", the blacks are still different. All the settings are the same on both, is there a fix to this problem? Thanks in advance for any reply, all advice is appreciated.

The newer versions on the Benq supports gaming meaning it made this trade off in colors to reduce input lag. Try the preset modes ( not the gaming ones ).

Is your new monitor set to full rgb? 0-255 is full rgb while 16-255 is limited. Since they are connected with different types of cables, the monitor might have set it to a limited setting. It could also be your gpu in your new pc. Is it nvidia?
