Your old motherboard will be compatible with the GPU.

Anyways you can tell us your current rig and your budget for upgrades and we'll provide you with the best options available.

Your current motherboard will support the gpu no problems ! You need an AM3+ socket in order for the fx 4300 to work.

You mobo is intel 775 based, it has a pcie x16 slot so yes the video card will work.

you cannot use amd cpu's, it also uses ddr2 ram and is limited to 4gb total.

Its time for a complete upgrade sadly.

State you complete budget. And i'm sure somebody can help you get max performance from it.

Huh ?! The Graphics card included is better than the 260x , Generic PSUs are crappy . This motherboard is quality motherboard and the whole setup is just better than your outdated setup , the CPU when overclocked is very powerful.

benchmarks :

Clearly the 265 is superior to the 260x

CPU is as good as an i3 when overclocked
