I am building a pc and was thinking to install the ati radeon r9 270x
The problem is people are saying it heats up too much and i am building a custom cabinet which will most probably open from one side and i will install cooler fans on it.
But still will it heat up so much??

Also people say its a power hungry card / is 550watt enough and do i require any thing else on the psu like some connector or anthing

I will be using i7 with it

More about : ati 270x

i had ATI 6770 HD, it is hot but which radeon card isn't.. they are just made that way. Anyway I never had problems with it so, no need to worry I'd say. However if you plan to play games R9 270x is poor choice for good games like BF4, crysis 3, bioshock infitine etc...

Replicate a normal case - at least 2 fans blowing in (from front) and one out (at the top/rear)
