If I keep getting BSOD's and SMART Hard disk errors, is it possible for the hard drive to cause the BSODs? Or is this just a case of everything falling apart at once?

The four BSOD errors are:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Please note, I'm not asking for solutions to these BSOD's, I'm curious as to if an error can cause these all, or if I need to address each problem individually.
