Hi,

So I'm looking for some help on a custom build I intend to use for triple screen gaming. I know there have been countless amounts of other posts about similar rigs, but couldn't find one that was accurate for my requirements.

I'd like to spend about £1000 on the tower itself, but I could spend a bit more if I need to. The main purpose of this PC will be for racing sims. (iRacing, rFactor 2) I play BF3 too but that is secondary. I have a seperate budget for a monitor stand etc for the racing rig.

With regards to what I want in the PC, I'd love to be able to run an i7, 250gb SSD, 1tb HDD. Not sure about graphics card/s or RAM. I've been trying to do some research on what would be the better option for graphics but I'm hoping for some assistance. I was looking at picking up 2 x GeForce 4gb GTX 770's. Or to go with a 3gb 780Ti. But I am hardly clued up on these things.

I've set aside another £600 for 3 x 24'' monitors I've picked out already. But wouldn't mind hearing opinions on my choice. (Dell U2414H - £200 each)

Would really appreciate some help picking parts, and logic why it'd be better to go with SLI over one single new card, how much RAM to go with etc. If prices could be included that would be ace.

Much appreciated.

Thanks for your help Topluca. That is a great build, looks really nice. Especially liking the Radeon R9 290's. It is a little bit more than I wanted to pay but it's definitely doable. Going to see if anyone else has any other suggestions.

Solution

+1; raising the budget by 70 quids would definitely increase performance on those three monitors by quite a bit.

Would there be any benefit to switching the graphics cards to one single 780Ti, I have heard people often run into trouble when using Sli / CrossFire.

Also when comparing performance what would be better?
