The similar problem occurs when i try to use Yahoo!Messenger. What step should i take before calling the technical support ?

I've learned to ask Front Desk clerks if they know which rooms are nearest the "wifi antennas" - if I use "hotspot", they seem to think everywhere is a hotspot. But if I use "antenna", few of them know that and the ones that do have actually paid attention to that location for their own purposes.

Often, the best antenna is near the front-desk's back office, so a "room above Front Desk" can be advantageous.

Or it can also be the most crowded wifi area, too - more users splitting the same bandwidth means "less for everyone". Ya pays yer money, ya takes yer chances. If I'm energetic enough, I'll connect to WiFi before unpacking anything as if I could ask for a better room elsewhere. Oh yeah, Front Desk Clerks just LOVE that... uh...
