i5-4690K or i7-4790K. Is it worth the extra $100?

I am building a PC that I will be using for heavy gaming and also everyday use. I'm not sure if i should just go with the Intel Core i5-4690K, Which seems good, Or spend an extra $100 on the Intel Core i7-4790K. Is the extra performance worth the extra $100, or will it just be a waste of my money.

These are my parts : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/fGqsMp

Thanks

Ask yourself this, are you going to do any heavy rendering work? If not, the i5 4690k is sufficient for what you want to do. Spend the extra 100 bucks on an SSD, 120GB Kingston hyper 3k or Samsung evo.. You could essentially get rid of the 2TB WD black and replace it with a seagate or another WD series such as blue. You could use that additional money to perhaps purchase a GTX 780. (Would research the cost but on phone).

Another thought to consider is that if you aren't going to overclock the CPU, you don't really need a K series processor, which is another $20 right there, and you can switch to an H97 board, which will save you at least another $100.

Why would he want to get rid of the WD black for a slower blue drive?

Swap the motherboard out for an ASUS Z97-A because I highly doubt you need an Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO. It will save you about $80 and you will still have a great build. http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Z97-A-DDR3-2600-Motherboards/dp/B00K2MAU5Q

You can put that money towards a 290 graphics card (I prefer it over the 770 because if you ever want to go to 1440p, Yyou can), an ssd, a nicer cooler, or whatever you want.

Oh and get this ram as it it faster and about the same price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231518&cm_re=gskill_2133-_-20-231-518-_-Product

Also, get Windows 8.1. everything that you heard was horrible was fixed by the .1 and you never have to see metro, ever. You also get a fairly noticeable performance boost in gaming with 8.1
