I bought this sound card to finish my high end build and i was so excited cuz i had 5.1 creative sound system and v-moda m-100 headphones.

1)I managed to uninstall all VIA HD audio drivers i had installed with my motherboard's rest drivers 2 days ago when i did a clean windows install.

2)After that i also disabled the amd high definition audio from device manager.

Without step 1 and 2 the audio panel on control panel refused to open and i couldnt configure anything but after lot of research and time spend i made it.

I have installed/unistalled since then the creative sound blaster drivers 4 times using driver sweeper etc cuz neither from the cd the card came with nor via the downloaded drivers the speakers didnt works properly.

No matter what i try in control panel+sound speaker setup/sound blaster control panel the best i get is a 2.1 to work instead of a 5.1
i only got soundd from 1 left,1right and depends on the config i may have sub working.

Despite that mess switching to headphones doesnt change anything at all!!
i cannt swith from speakers to headphones and the heaphones volume controll base come with the sound blaster zx is completelly useless while that was exactly the reason i bought this sound card.

I lost 2 days now reading and reading withough a fix and i feel so so so bad and dissappointed...i am not only tired but sad as well....

i tried everything listed on the internet,i change the pci-E slot but still nothing...
Sorry for the long text...i am desperate...

have had horrors like these years ago. never going to buy from creative again, asus is better, just my opinion of course.

i was going to suggest sweep, but you already did that.
dig down the different settings /devices, you might find something

i feel like i tried every possible setting. nothing seems to work...i will call them and ask them for a new one and i will request an asus one with extra money.
