Win7 re-installed - cannot see any extra HDDs or USB flash drives. Nothing appears in disk management except C & E partitions from main HDD & DVD player. Nothing shows up awaiting a new letter to be assigned.

Only formatted & re-installed today. all were fine until new install. trouble with win7 is u dont reformat regularly like XP. i've forgotten how to solve this. Actually I've never come across this b4.

so how do I get win 7 to see these extra drives?

Have you reinstalled drivers (specifically, motherboard drivers)?

If you're plugging flash drives into the blue USB 3.0 ports you might need to install USB 3.0 drivers first... SATA drives might also act weird without proper drivers

What motherboard do you have? And do you have any discs that came with the computer or the motherboard itself (it would say something like "driver and/or utility disc")?

Which sata ports are your HDD's connected to? The white or black ports (i.e. SATA2 or SATA3). If the drive that isn't showing up is plugged into a white port try plugging it into a black port.

It looks like your motherboard has two USB 2.0 ports (near the top, beside the purple ps/2 keyboard port) try plugging the flash drives into those and if they work then it's most likely an issue with USB 3.0

If you do these two things and still no luck go in to control panel then device manager and see if there are any exclamation points on any categories there (disk drives, USB, etc). Also, right click on the very top item (should have your PC name there) and click "scan for hardware changes"

I would probably use the drivers from here ( http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4144# ) instead of the disc
