Hey guys,
I've got a problem I think my psu is acting really weird it's a brand new evga 600b.
Long story short,
I was playing anno 2070 and all of a sudden the power to my room just cuts off.. My pc doesn't turn on anymore and every time I try to connect the computer on its own in another room the breaker for that specific room engages (tried The kitchen two bedrooms and living room) The motherboard standby light comes on for a fraction of a second and goes off again.

I just recently built this computer and I have no idea what's going on... Is the psu dead? What about my other components?

Fx6300 @3.8ghz
Palit gtx 770 2gb
Hyperx 8gb memory
Asus m5a97 Evo r2.0
Evga 600b psu

sounds like the psu developed a dead short, how does your old psu work ?? or did it get other parts on the motherboard when it went out ??

Thanks for the quick reply man,
I don't have an old psu this is my very first build haha...
The computer worked fine for two weeks even during heavy bf3 and metro 2033 gaming..
Could an unconnected sata power cable do this? Maybe cutting itself short on the case? I'm taking the computer apart now..

don't know -- with out a back up unit to test things its all a big guess -- tripped breaker is from a overloaded line or dead short and seeing you moved the computer to some other outlets around the house and it still trips those I would say dead short just hope it just the psu and did not damage the rest of your build in some way

contact evga and explain what the deal is and get them to rma or just find another psu that you can test with

Just rang them up theyve been very quick and efficient, I had to register my product on their website upload the invoice as a proof of purchase and now I am awaiting approval... I just hope they won't have it in stock so I can get a better one :>

Alright, they've accepted my rma request. I complained that I had to pay for postage and they offered me a fully modular 650 watt gold psu free of charge as compensation hahahah
Awesome :D
