Since the price is so close to the Z97 extreme 4, right now, I would go with the Asrock Z97x Killer for motherboard. HX 750 is a good PSU, but more than you need, unless you intend to go dual GPU at some point. If you plan to stay single GPU, look at an Evga Super Nova 650w gold. I would want an XFX or Seasonic bronze 850w for SLI/CF configs at minimum. 16gb of ram is overkill. Tall heatsinks can get in the way of aftermarket coolers, so I would go with something like a Gskill Ares kit. You will want an aftermarket cooler if you intend to overclock.Sound card not necessary, unless you are a real audiophile. Case is good. 4690k is cheaper as mentioned above.

If you do not intend to overclock, go with an i5 4590, ASRock Fatal1ty H97 Killer, Evga 650w gold, 8gb of ram, and swap that GPU for a better R9 290. With some tweaks, even the overclocking rig might be capable of the R9 290. Depends on your budget.

Looks pretty good, I would just add a few things. How much is your budget? I would probably add a SSD, you aren't gonna need more than 8 GB of RAM if you're only gaming. MB I would get a MSI Z97 Gaming 5. Else stuff is looking good! :D

Haha yeah, i was planning to get an ssd of a tb but sadly the price is way too high. And thanks for the info! I had a feeling 16 gigs would be overkill but now i know, so 8 gigs it is. :)

Out of all the answers i got on this thread, this one helped me the most. Seriously though thanks alot! And i actually plan to stick with a single GPU. But would you still recommend this motherboard if instead of me getting a gigabyte gtx 770 windforce, the gtx 780 one? Thanks in advance.
