I just purchased a Super Street Fighter IV TE Fightstick S for Xbox360, with the understanding that it will work on PC. The issue is that at various points of gameplay, the stick seems to be stuck registering a down signal. If I am in the middle of a fight, my character will be stuck in the crouching position. If I am in the menu screens, the highlighted selection will continue to scroll down very quickly. Sometimes this happens as soon as I open the game on the opening menu, sometimes it happens 5-10 minutes into game play, sometimes it can go an hour with no problems. I have the XBox 360 controller drivers installed, and Steam recognizes the stick as Xinput Arcade stick. These issues happen whether the stick is in LS or DP mode. Another observation is when my computer first boots up, the Xbox logo is illuminated just fine, but somewhere along the way, only the top left quadrant is illuminated.
My PC is running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. My system is an i5 4690K on an Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard. I have tried both onboard USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on my case's front panel (Cooler Master Storm Trooper), as well as the USB 3.0 ports on a PCI-E USB card with a VIA chipset.
I can not replicate the problem, however, I did discover that if I press on my clubsport pedals (driving pedals hooked up to the case's front panel USB controller), it will immediately send the stick into forever down mode.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
