Hi All,

Can you advise on the following issue,

I have bought a new system and built it with little issue except that the GPU is not recognised.

Everything else works, the motherboard, processor, ram, ssd, psu etc.

The on-board GPU works and i can see that there is no card or unknown devices. The bios also will not recognise that the card is there.

I tried all three lanes without success, flashed the bios to several versions to test. Tested other PSU cables and slots.

I have tested a GTX770 and 660 both work and are bridged in the new case.

Tested the 780 in my old system, same symptoms. Its there nothing more to test?. Is sending it back my only option now?.

Specs

Core i5 Haswell 3.5GHZ
Window 8.1 Pro 64X
Asus Maximus Ranger Vii mobo
16 GB DDR3
256 SSD Corsier
H801 cooler
Raven3 sliverstone case
1000W PSU
(And for now)
a 770GTX 2gb white edition and a bridged 660GTX 4GB

Tested this card in the following

Core i7 2.4 2400K
8GB Dominator ram
Asus Sabertooth Mobo
10,000 RPM raptor with SSD for games.
850W PSU

This saddens me as i have been looking forward to this for a long time with lots of saving to reach this build.

Always the risk of a dead component but i want to exhaust all options before sending to RMA.

Thank you in advance peeps.

Best Regards
Joe
