I inherited a western digital my passport 1TB drive that was used on a mac.
I don't own any mac's, so I have a desktop computer with same size drive. Can anybody recommend any good, hopefully free data recovery software that may try helping me out.
A concern of mine is weather or not the my passport software was used. I don't know if the data was compressed then stored. But as it stands now, windows sees the drive as unalocated storage space.
Suggestions on software to use. Any known working live cd's to use (as I figure I will need to use linux to restore partition).
