This may be slightly off topic so my apologies. However recently we've found strange two devices laying around the office. They haven't been used in years and will likely be thrown out.

But I'm curious as to what they are. The small round thing looks like a computer part. It has what appears to be a button of some sort on one site. The thing which looks like a drill works when plugged in. By that I mean the gray part spins like a drill bit, but only when oriented properly.

Google image search has turned up nothing. Like I said we don't use this stuff, but I am curious to know what it is. Here are some pictures:

Any help is much appreciated

The second and third pictures are of a PC speaker like the kind used to hear boot beep codes. The AC powered device, I have no clue.

Do you have any other views of the AC powered device?

Not with me Kane although I can upload more pictures on Monday when I get back to the office. However it doesn't really have any identifying marks. My suspicion is that it was part of something else. It looks too small to be a drill.

Thank you for identifying the speaker. I've never actually looked at one of those things, only heard them.

Just uploaded two more photos of the beige device to my Flickr account. They are available at link in my original post.
