Hello guys.

So im building a new gaming pc and i need a mouse and a keyboard. I've never had a gaming mouse nor a gaming keyboard. I've been using a "Delux" mouse and keyboard combo and its been working so far.

So my biggest need in the mouse is that it must have 2 extra buttons wich i found i need. Other than that i think any mouse will be a big improvement.

I've searched for some and im between these two (i would like to know other options ofcouse):

Razer Deathadder 2013 vs Razar Naga Hex

The first because it's supposed to be the "best" gaming mouse and it has just what i need. The Naga Hex because the standard Naga had way too many buttons and if i need 2 more buttons, why not 5? :)

About the keyboard i chose the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014. I really dont know about this one, but as im going to buy the H440 razer edition case, i thought it would be a nice addition.

About Mouse Pad's i have no idea, i might use anything.

What do you gamers recomend? Other options? is it really soo good to have 5 more mouse buttons? or a better keyboard?

P.D. I know neither of those would improve my gaming, but i have the money to buy those so i said why not :)

I personally have come from a generic Logitech mouse for gaming, and I must say a gaming mouse helps tremendously. I highly recommend the Logitech G500S, however their is a new model that succeeded this mouse which is the G502 Proteus Core. Both are great mice, I have the G500S and it is literally the best mouse I've ever TOUCHed! If you can't afford the g502 proteus core, then the g500S is a good mouse that will last for years.

A gaming mousepad isn't as necessary, however if you are a picky/heavy/competitive gamer, then a mousepad will help a ton! I have the Logitech gaming mousepad and it defiantly boosted my g500s in speed and agility. Any standard gaming cloth or hard mousepad will do.

As for keyboards, they aren't as...

Get this. i have the previous version and it is the best gaming mouse i have ever used. I have used 8 other mice ranging from both major razer mice. madcatz. logitec, and others, and this is the best one by far. when i bought it 1.5 years ago it was the highest rated gaming mouse. it had 40 5 star reviews, and 6 4 star reviews. since then there have been over 1300 more ratings, including mine that have mostly been 4 and 5 stars. It is AMAZING. As for keyboards, i use the corsair K70 cerry mx red, and I love it. Mouse pad, i use the steel series gaming mouse pad.

As for keyboards, they aren't as necessary as gaming mice, due to the mouse doing 70% of the work. but they can still be effective, I recommend the Corsair Vengeance K70. Also, when looking for a gaming keyboard, look for the mechanical kind, they will work better.

Will look into the logitech ones, ive read good reviews about them. I dont really care about the mouse pad, but as im getting like a set, i would like to have a good looking one.

About the keyboard i just want a good one wich will last me for years and that i can benefit from it when im gaming. Thats why i chose the blackwidow...

Please more opinions.

Im looking into that one too thanks. Although never really read about that one before. Thanks :)

If you haven't taken a look at the Anker one i mentioned, i highly recommend looking at reviews and the amazon page just in case you ignored my comment because I am newer to the site. It might not be a huge company but the mouse really is that good.

I use a Razer Deathadder 2013 and love the thing, however whats the best mouse for you really depends on your hand and your needs.
Look at your mouse hand right now and take note of how your holding it. Now watch this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luCxbVslSFM

So you should know what kind of grip you are, and can use that to help inform what shape of mouse is going to be good for you. For instance with my Deathadder I have a "lazy fingertip" kind of grip, where its otherwise fingertip except my wrist rests on the table. The large size of the mouse is pretty good for this.
From there, find the mouse that is the shape you want with the features you want. If you play MMO's and RTS', then your going to want to shift toward more buttons. FPS' or are casual, you dont really need more than two on it. Also dont be taken in by extremely high DPI sensors on mice, theres no point, mine can go up to 6400 yet I find 1600 to be best.

Keyboards are more feature based.
I recommend you look into the difference between Mechanical and Membrane switches and decide type you want. If you decide mechanical I suggest you stick with Cherry switches (you will again want to research the difference between the colours), Kaihl are chinese copies and Razer switches are pretty much the same.
Topre switches however are their own thing and a good alternative to Cherry, but is only available on a few keyboards
Buckling Springs are the god-tier of mechanical, and to my knowledge only exist in pretty old keyboards (IBM Model M) and their modern clones.

if you have medium to larger hands like me, the anker would be perfect. my hand it too big for a lot of mice, my fingers would hang off the buttons and it would not be accurate when playing games, but the way this mouse was designed, it lets your hand naturally rest over the mouse rather than having to conform to the shape manually. I really think the company took their time developing and designing this mouse, because i can use this mouse for several hours at a time and not get cramps, it is amazing.

Hey thanks, well im between claw grip and finger tip. Its kind like you said "lazy fingertip" except my wrist rest on the mouse pad "wrist rest".

I do play mmo's (speacially wow) but i did it all this way with a 2 click mouse, so the naga just seem way too much for me now. Ill also want to play any games with my mouse comfortably.

Im now between the razer deathadder 2013, even more so seeing you just have a similar grip and use one, and the logitech g502 wich seems to have some more extra buttons i can use on wow and mmo's but not way too much. Whay do you think? Razer Deathadder 2013 or Logitech G502 Proteus Core?

About the keyboards ill look into what you told me. Is a membrane keyboards like laptop keyboards? Kinda soft to press? if its that, i dont really like it.

About the mouse pad i just realize i really need one with a wrist rest and ill look into it.

I looked into it and saw the reviews, there seems to be better options for me :). Thanks for your opinion though
