First off, I'm not entirely sure that this belongs in this section, but it was my best guess, so apologies if I was mistaken.

This is a bit of a complicated situation, in fact, I entirely expect to hear that it's not even possible.

This is the hardware I'm trying to set up:

-Creative SoundBlaster X-fi external sound card
-2012 Astro A40 headset w/ Mix-Amp

Now, before I got this setup, I would record game footage using Dxtory, supplemented with Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) to split my game and comm audio. However, I had to get rid of that when setting up my new rig. Keep in mind, I bought these things to specifically to have surround sound, and I am unwilling to give that up.

This is how I currently have everything set up.

From my tower I have a USB powering the soundcard.
From my power strip, I power the Mixamp (because it made weird sounds while plugged into my tower).
I have an optical cable going from the soundcard to the mixamp.
The headset is split by a Y cable, with input from the mixamp, and output to the soundcard.

The soundcard's line-in mic is chosen as the default device and communication device.
The soundcard's SPDIF-OUT is chosen as the default device and communication device.

What I would like to do is have my game output sound on Line 1 of VAC, and my TeamSpeak on Line 2. While still keeping my virtual 7.1 surround that I've grown fond of.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or ideas? Or am I just out of luck here?

Thanks in advance, FairZ.
