Hello,
A month ago I bought a Kingston v300 120gb SSD to see what all the fus was about with Solid state drives. Up untill now I had a sata 2 MOBO, but a few days ago I upgraded my MOBO to MSI Z97 gaming 5. And ofcourse jumping from sata 2 to sata 3, I was expecting higher read/write speeds but they stayed the same. I am getting almost the same speeds as my HDD. My curent speeds are 178 Read/ 80 writes. The manufacturar says it can go up to 450/450 but I'm not getting anything NEAR that.
I use sata 3 in AHCI mode on a windwos 8 system.
Please I tryed everything I knew.
If anyone has any information in relation to my issue please let me know, I'd realy apreciate it!
Thank you in advance, looking forward for your reply!

They're getting better results because they benchmark with ATTO. :)

ATTO uses highly compressible data to test Read/Write speeds. Highly compressible data is the easiest type of data for any SSD to Read/Write.
AS-SSD & CrystalDiskMark use highly incompressible data to test Read/Write speeds. Highly incompressible data is the hardest type of data for any SSD to Read/Write.

So you mean my ssd is ok? then why do I see other ppl with exactly the same SSD getting much better results?
My WIE is 8 so it clearly is an improvement from 5.6 which i was getting from my HDD.

One big reason is probably because of Kingston's dodgy business practices.

An Update to Kingston SSDNow V300: A Switch to Slower Micron NAND

Kingston posted that datasheet Derek47 linked to WELL AFTER they got caught doing the switch.
