I currently own a Radeon 7850 2GB Core Edition from XFX, however its two years old and is starting to get really loud under load. I am looking at getting another AMD graphics card and i am having a difficult time choosing a new one.

Suggestions -

-R9 290
-R9 290X
-R9 285
-Radeon 7990
-Radeon 7950

I really want to get the best bang for my buck. I want the card to handle three 22 inch monitors. I also want it to be a quite card as the noise annoys me :)

Also I like the non-reference coolers because they have better cooling and looks :)

Thanks any suggestions will be appreciated.

Solution
290 Tri-X
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4GB Tri-X Video Card ($414.98 @ SuperBiiz)

290 PCS+ $60 Less. PCS+ range known to be binned alot, great range
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 290 4GB PCS+ Video Card ($348.50 @ Newegg)

290x PCS+
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 290X 4GB PCS+ Video Card ($467.50 @ Newegg)

290x Tri-x
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290X 4GB Tri-X Video Card ($539.99 @ TigerDirect)

Personally, 290x was out of budget for my new build so went for 290. Chose the PCS+ over the Tri-x, but not for the lower cost, it had a higher stock clock and according to the comparisons of 290's i went through, PCS+ was more popular range than the Tri-x by people...

The 290X
1, Is better than the 290, that's why it has an X at the end
2, Has Toxic cooling, which cools better than Tri-X
It's kinda expensive, though. If you can't afford it, the Tri-X will be fine for your needs.

Was still debating over either but...
Saw a youtube review comparison, the PCS+ was quieter and managed to keep temps low at lower fans speeds than the other cards when stressed/benched, so overclocking would be more enjoyable too

Ultimately, 290 vs 290x obviosuly the 290x is better but depends on the budget you are willing to dish out
