So for my next build, I'm looking to upgrade my GPU. I was wondering if I should sink $180 each for two GTX 660's, or if I should go with a $360 GTX 770.

Which would give better performance? Primarily for MMORPG's.

A single 770 would be better because
1, it only takes 1 PCI-E slot
2, It's newer
3, You can SLI with it in the future but you will have to find space to do 3-way SLI with the 660s.

The GTX 660(non Ti) doesn't support 3 way SLI. But I agree the GTX 770 would be the better option of the 2. But for $360 I'd get a R9 290.

To add I wouldn't touch any PNY product with a 10 Ft pole, they are easily one of the worst gpu and ram manufactures that I have ever dealt with.

One 770 would be better than two 660's. Much more future proof too because you can always add another 770 and be set for the next 3-4 years, probably longer.

If still in the planning stage then neither choice makes any sense as new card announcements are but days away.

The 770 will serve you well but if you are patient then wait for the release of the GTX 980 which will replace the GTX 690, 760, 770 and 780.

Okay guys, thanks for the feedback. One other question...do AMD GPU's come with video capture software like the nVidia cards? Because every nVidia card that is GTX 660 or higher comes with ShadowPlay, so I'm wondering if AMD has a counterpart to this.

If AMD has video capture software then I have not heard about it. When I owned a AMD Radeon 7850 I did not have any form of video capturing software. I always assumed from that point on that AMD users stuck with Fraps or a similar program. Nvidia Shadowplay is far superior to any other form of video capture software because it has little effect on performance. Mostly because many of Nvidia's high-end GPU's have built in chips specifically created for running Shadowplay so that the rest of the resources on the GPU are left for rendering games or whatever other software you may be running.

AMD doesn't have recording/streaming software, and that's one of the many reasons you should stick with nVidia.
If you can, though, try to get a 780 because it'll last you longer.
