This is a problem I began having after I installed my new monitor and began using Nvidia Surround. If I use Extended desktop mode and I have the 3 separate taskbars then this is not an issue. however I would very much like to be able to use the surround feature. here is a picture of what I am experiencing

In the image I have the taskbar on the bottom so I can actually use the browsers other tabs and the minimize/maximize/close buttons. Is there anything I could do to fix this? are my driver installations messed up?

I have an Nvidia GTX 780 Ti and the 340.52 drivers. the resolution is 5760x1080 when in surround mode.
Im sorry if the image looks funky its sort of large.

Edit: This thread is totally dead. but I would like to add that this is still an issue 7/17/2015 353.30 drivers Fresh windows install. I doubt Nvidia cares enough to fix this.

Wait, what's the issue exactly? Just that the taskbar is showing above them? That does seem irritating, but not like its' a huge deal.

Try setting the taskbar to auto-hide and then back to normal, that might fix it. Failing that, auto-hide is a workaround for the issue, long as it doesn't bug you too much.

Auto-hide is not really a solution. I want it to behave as it normally would. I dont want it dissapearing on me and I dont want windows maximizing behind it making it more difficult to do whatever task is at hand. this is actually extremely irritating to look at (especially when I forget that I had to move it to the bottom so I could properly use a web browser).

Well I get that... I mean, trust me, I absolutely feel where you're coming from, and it's an irritating bug. I'm just trying to come up with things that might be helpful.

Obviously reinstalling windows isn't an option for something like this, just keep in mind that it would fix the issue.

You've tried rolling back to the previous drivers just to see if that does anything, right?

harass nvidia about it. its been a problem for quite awhile and drives me nuts as well. they have absolutely abysmal customer service and software support but at som epoint, if enough people raise hte issue - im sure they will have no choice but to fix it instead of focusing all their time and resources on their next money grab-err card.

I get the exact same problem, and have reported it to NVIDIA, except I disable the option to maximise across all 3 displays, so the window maximises only to the screen it is on at the time, on the left side screen, it works as it should, on the centre and right, it maximises beneath the taskbar, very annoying

Same problem on W7 x64. I even got to try my graphics card in a completely different PC with a fresh Windows install, the problem is still there. It used to work well in it's early beginnings, then it started glitching like so. Another temporary workaround is to go to the Nividia Control Panel -> Desktop -> Enable the "Confine Taskbar to Center Display" option -> Wait for it to apply -> Disable it, and do all these while having "maximise windows across all displays" kept disabled. I have to do this everytime I want my windows not to maximise under the taskbar, and it's fairly easy to do. Since Nvidia doesn't really care, I am trying to automate this process through a neat little app that starts up together with Windows.
