After installing windows 7 networking adapters not found

I have acquired a laptop and had to install a new HD and have installed windows 7 Boots up fine but none of the networking drivers are there, it does not even detect the hardware. I have gone to the website (HP) for drivers but they only supply Drivers for windows 8 for this laptop and i can not seem to find any or get them to work.

Then buy and install Windows 8.

That's the fun of owning a laptop or anything from HP.

on hp web page for your laptop drivers copy down the chipset used in your laptop and then download the drivers from the network chipset vendor not hp then put the drivers on a usb stick so you have them.

First thing thanks for the reply and i have tried installing drivers by searching these (10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN (RJ-45 connector) and ( 802.11b/g/n WLAN ) to no prevail these appear to be the network connectivity devices, am i wrong? is it possible that they are damage and no longer work? if so is there a way to check?

Check in Control Panel, Device Manager to see if the devices are working properly and have up to date drivers.

Those are the devices used for wired and wireless, but it's not the name you're looking for. You need the chipset drivers specifically to get those operational.

HP have basically not provided any support for Windows 7 laptops that come pre-installed with Windows 8 on them, so you need to find the chipset drivers from their respective vendors websites and hope they have them for win 7.

Give this one a try and see if it's compatible to get some connectivity;

It worked as soon as i connects i can now auto update the others. Gold star for you man ty ty
