I'm building my first PC, It will be used for heavy gaming along with everyday use.Due to my budget, I can only choose these options

Intel i5-4690K with EVGA GeForce GTX780 SuperClocked
-OR-
Intel i7-4790k with EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclocked

Which of the two two should I go with? This is my PC so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DXf8P6

Thanks.

Have you considered AMD graphics cards? They often have similar performance at a lower price.

AMD R9 280x - Similar performance, cheaper

R9 290 - $340 after discount code. Its much faster, competes with GTX 780 for performance, but its closer to the 770 price than the 780 price.

With sportsfanboy. if you game mainly then go for the i5 and 780, if you game and also do cpu hungry processes like video editing you should go with the i7 and 770. Although If I were you I'd try to put an i7 there as games are becoming cpu needy now :)

You know another consideration is the Xeon CPUs. The one that costs about $250 is quad-core with hyper threading, and only like 100Mhz drop in clock speed. If you got that and an R9 290 you would have a CPU with performance similar to an i7 with GPU performance similar to a GTX 780 all for about the cost you are already looking at.
