should work maybe the realtek or router are flacky can u try a usb receiver
sorry I should have been more clear. The rtl8191su
is the USB receiver. My router/modem combo is brand less to my knowledge and given to me from Comcast.
I've been battling the same problem since about 9/15/14. Same card, same Xfinity router, same WIndows problem, but I'm in windows 8.1. Try going into the Device Manager, finding your card under Network Adapters, right click and go to properties. Under the Advanced Tab, see if you can change your Wireless Mode to b/g. Doing that I was able to connect for a while, but that obviously had it's own set of problems. If I ever had wireless n engaged, I could not connect to the xfinity router.
The only solution that seems to be working thus far was to force install the Wireless Lan Utility by Realtek (from two years ago), and try to install the drivers as well.

When I first did this, I think Windows updated the drivers automatically and I lost the one that I installed. At least now my system is reporting wireless n is working. I'm going to work on it more in the future if it's bothersome. I have a suspicion there's either a problem in either the latest Windows drivers, or the Xfinity firmware.
